What we wished we had as teenagers on this island, today we build together with those who grew up inside it.
Our story
Making music on Capri since 2002
For years, Kaos Music Lab has welcomed people of all ages from the island who have found in Kaos a space to discover music in all its dimensions: from individual lessons to band formation, from sound recycling to body percussion, all the way to composing and recording original songs.
In 2022 Kaos became an accredited RSL (Rockschool Limited) exam centre, enabling students to obtain internationally recognised music certifications.
The pride of Kaos is Music Week, through which Kaos opens the doors of the lab to anyone who wants to explore music, with free workshops and a closing concert at Piazza San Nicola involving all participants.
Today the school is a musical landmark for the entire island, with nine professional teachers and a programme spanning from age 2 to adulthood.

Michela Miccio
Piano & Direction
Founder and director of Kaos. Trained in the Orff-Schulwerk methodology at the Donna Olimpia school in Rome, in 2018 she published «Ora te li suono» for the OSI educational series. A recognised OSI trainer, she holds music education seminars throughout Italy.
Marilisa Amelino
Vocals
Vocalist with over twenty years of experience between stage and studio. She has collaborated with Rosanna Fratello, Fred Bongusto, Sal Da Vinci and Eduardo De Crescenzo. Backing vocalist on RAI programmes alongside Alan Parsons and Nate James.
Andrea Palazzo
Guitar
Graduate of the GIT in Los Angeles and holder of a degree in Jazz Guitar from the Naples Conservatory. Yamaha, Line6 and GalliStrings endorser. He has collaborated with Jimmy Sax, Gigi Finizio, Tosca, Nino D’Angelo and the Symphonic Dance Orchestra.
Umberto Vacca
Guitar
Grew up musically on Capri with teacher Riccardo Pecoraro, then continued with pop-rock electric guitar at Kaos. Founder of the band Utopia, he has been performing at venues and events on the island since 2014. He has been teaching electric guitar at Kaos since 2023.
Mariano Celentano
Drums
He took his first steps right at Kaos, then honed his skills at the RITMIX academy in Rome with Pierluigi Calderoni, Derek Wilson and Cristiano Micalizzi. Today he combines session drumming with teaching.
Olha Oriekhova
Violin
Graduate of the Rachmaninov Conservatory in Rostov-on-Don, she played in the Donetsk Philharmonic as violinist of the «Viola» chamber ensemble. A violin teacher since 2014, she brings the tradition of the great Russian and Ukrainian school to Capri.
Alessandro Astarita
Ensemble Music
Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, he trained with composer Laurex and guitarist Oscar Montalbano. He plays blues and rock, performing at venues across the island. Founder of Kaos, he leads ensemble music and guides students in composing and arranging their original songs.
Massimo Goderecci
Guitar & Theory
Graduated with honours in Pop-Rock Guitar from the Martucci Conservatory of Salerno, he grew up musically at Kaos since 2009. Guitarist of the Anema e Core Band in Capri, he has shared the stage with Anderson Paak, Tom Morello, Phil Palmer and Emma Marrone.
Francesco Maraniello
Vocals & Keyboards
Singer, pianist, composer and arranger. He has collaborated with Gigi Finizio, Edoardo De Crescenzo and Beppe Vessicchio, with studio and RAI production experience. At Kaos he is the keyboardist and arranger of the gospel project Kaos Voices.
